August, 2008 — Suzanne and I drove through the mountains of Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee to get to Kingsport, Tennessee where I would be setting out on a three day stint of plein aire painting with Karan Hagan.
There, it's been said. Living on Lake Murray in Lexington, S.C., the focus of his paintings are those things which God has created. Traveling to see different places and cultures provides inspiration. So he paints. Primarily in oils (but not diametrically opposed to other weapons...including spray paint) Ben paints landscapes, portraits and abstracts.
